What is Fractional Laser?
Fraxel laser, known to physicians such as Dr.Radmila as fractional photo-thermolysis, we are now able to dramatically improve skin texture, smooth out acne scars, improve pigmentation problems such as Melasma and brown spots, and reduce fine to moderate lines and wrinkles in just a few treatments with minimal to no downtime.
Using Fraxel Laser or the Clear + Brilliant device, known as ‘baby fraxel’ we can stimulate regeneration of the deeper collagen and elastin tissues while resurfacing around 20% – 30% of your skins surface with each treatment. These lasers can remodel collagen within the skin without harming your skin’s surface, producing a smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin with minimal downtown. Fractional-thermolysis lasers provide all of the improvements associated with ablative laser procedures but without any significant interference with daily activities.
About your skin
We are all born with smooth, baby soft skin. However, as we go through life, skin is subject to numerous hazards. Ageing, heredity and gravity create fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the mouth and eyes, as we age. Also, over-exposure to the sun, alcohol use, and smoking are all known to significantly accelerate the development of these natural signs of ageing.
Until now we have only had two laser options to treat aging and sun-damaged skin: ablative laser procedures and non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers produce great results but come with significant side effects and prolonged recovery. Non-ablative lasers promise minimal recovery but provide less dramatic results.
Fraction resurfacing Lasers are effective on:
- Fine lines and wrinkles – such as crow’s feet and brow lines
- Surface scarring – erasing effects of acne and other scarring
- Pigmentation – minimizing the appearance of age spots
- Sun damage – helping heal dangerous skin damage
- Actinic Keratosis (AK) – a common pre-cancerous skin condition
