Lucia Clinic’s Viora treatment fights the signs of aging. It is a skin tightening procedure that eliminates and prevents the future appearance of aging signs. Viora uses RF energy to stimulate the existing elastin and collagen fibers and enhance the growth of these important proteins that keep the skin elastic.
During the Viora treatment, the energy penetrates the deeper layers of the skin which in turn provide more effective results. These layers are the ones that consist of collagen and when they are triggered they start improving the skin elasticity and minimize the signs of aging in the long run.
Viora ST™ works by combining two different forms of RF energy and also vacuum therapy. These technologies stimulate the body’s natural process of regeneration and reduce the circumference of targeted areas. Upon arriving at Lucia Clinic, the patients are consulted with Viora ST™ therapists. They carefully assess the patients’ faces and determine if they are suitable for this treatment. Together with the patients, the therapists create a custom-made treatment plan that will specifically target their problematic areas.
The treatment is performed by a specialist who uses an applicator designed especially for the face so that it can reach all problematic areas. The treatment applicator is placed on the skin and treats the areas in slow, concentrated motions. The patient feels two sensations - hot and cold temperatures on the top layer of the skin. The applicator’s tip has a contact cooling mechanism that keeps the temperature on the skin comfortable while at the same time heats the deeper layers of the skin. This cooling tip actually protects the epidermis. The treatment is thus painless and there is no need for topical anesthetic. Viora ST™ is easy and comfortable, and gives a pleasant warm sensation during the treatment. After the treatment, the skin feels significantly smoother and tighter.
Viora ST™ treatment sessions can last between 20 to 30 minutes. It all depends on the specific application, the patient’s individual skin issues and the area that is targeted.
Usually, four to eight treatment sessions are advised for the best results. Each session should be scheduled 2 to 4 weeks apart.
The response to the treatment varies from patient to patient and the severity of the skin condition. Patients can have additional touch-ups to maintain the results as the collagen naturally diminishes again. Possible side effects may occur, but nothing significant. The patients may experience redness or swelling, but these sensitivities stop a few hours or 2 to 3 days post-procedure.
