How It Works

WHAT MAKES VIORA IPL TREATMENT SPECIAL?

V-IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a superior treatment for photo-rejuvenation. Its unique applicator delivers an intense, broad-spectrum and visible pulsed light and targets specific structures in the skin through heat and light.

This treatment dramatically improves multiple skin imperfections like sun and age spots, birthmarks, acne, freckles and broken capillaries.

Each patient can get a specially customized treatment because the therapist can set parameters – the appropriate filter or wavelength to target the patient’s specific skin concern and the desired results.

Combining Bi-Polar Radio Frequency and Light  Frequencies, Viora IPL emits these energies to pigmented lesions or hemoglobin to improve the skin’s condition. Even though it’s a supremely powerful treatment, it does no harm to the surrounding, healthy skin tissues.

The controlled pulses of light penetrate the skin tissues and target the imperfections. With this action, the body’s own natural processes eliminate the targeted tissue. At the same time, Viora IPL treatment stimulates collagen and new healthy cell growth. Over time, facial skin gets visibly improved in overall appearance and texture.

WHAT DOES IPL STAND FOR?

IPL is short for Intense Pulsed Light. It is similar to laser light therapy but with one difference -it’s much more comfortable.

IPL is a wide band of different light wavelengths. On the other hand, a laser consists of synchronized light waves. IPL is based on selective photothermolysis which when broken down means the following: photo – light, thermo – heat, lysis – destruction.

The intense pulsed light is emitted through a filter that targets light-sensitive molecules in the skin. They are called chromophores, and the filter is necessary for converting the light into a needed wavelength that heats and destroys just the targeted chromophores. The light travels through the top layer of the skin or the epidermis safely and effectively. The surrounding, healthy tissue is left untouched.

For example, when treating hyperpigmented skin the targeted chromophore is melanin or the skin pigment molecule. The pulsed light causes a reaction called photochemical heat only at melanin molecules. This technology is what makes Viora IPL treatments advanced and outstanding.

WHAT SKIN ISSUES CAN VIORA IPL ADDRESS?

VioraIPL minimizes the amount of needed energy because its applicator is strategically placed. This technique itself provides long-lasting results and dramatic improvements.

During the treatment, extremely selective light energies get absorbed by pigmented lesions and hemoglobin but they are not greatly absorbed by the healthy dermis. Electrical energy heats the blood vessels selectively and minimizes the effect on pigmented structures.

The treatment can target different skin issues like pigmentation, it can be used for skin rejuvenation, as an anti-aging treatment and for hair removal.
